The globally famous Chole Masala. The minute you tell a Non-Indian that you are an Indian, in the context of food o’course, there is a pretty good probability they ask you if you know to make Chole. And they are almost always pleasantly surprised that is not that difficult to make.
I am not sure this qualifies for a pulav in the traditional sense, but is is much more than a khichidi. It takes less than 20 minutes from start to end and nutritious. I also make this with variations of vegetables.
Ingredients:
1 cup basmati rice
1 cup peas and corn
